Published Research

My research has focused on mRNA metabolism in health and disease, particularly on how viral proteins interact with the host translation machinery. At the University of Bern, I led a research group comprising Bachelor's and Master's students from the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences. We researched mechanisms of translation regulation and mRNA stability using human cell-free systems and cellular approaches.
