Overview
Since 2006, I have taught biology disciplines (ranging from Ecology to Anatomy, with a focus on Biochemistry), prioritising conceptual clarity, structure, and understanding across scales, from molecular mechanisms to organism-level function. My goal is to make complex biological processes accessible without oversimplifying them and to share methods and information that will serve the future needs of the students.

Textbook development
As part of a national author team, I contributed to the development of a new series of high school biology textbooks in Greece.
Following a multi-stage evaluation process, the first volume (Biology, 1st class of high school) was selected for nationwide use and is currently the only approved textbook in Greek schools.
My contribution focused on both scientific content and pedagogical design. This included:
Editing and structuring biological content for clarity and coherence
Development of digital teaching materials accompanying the textbook
Selection and curation of scientific illustrations and visual material
Definition and alignment of learning goals across chapters
Designing connections between biological concepts and everyday life contexts
Ensuring conceptual progression from basic principles to more complex ideas
This experience revived my fascination for teaching in Secondary Education.
The book is available online at the Ministry of Education and will be delivered to schools in September 2027. Link to PDF (In Greek)
